Getting Started
We offer two types of lessons: in-home and in-studio.
In-home lessons are available in: Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, Johns Creek, Cumming, Suwanee, Duluth, Marietta, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Atlanta.
In-studio lessons take place at: 4415 Front Nine Dr, #300, Cumming, GA 30041
Our in-home lesson service offers private one-on-one music instructions in: piano, keyboard, voice, violin, viola, cello, guitar and ukulele.
Our studio offers individual music lessons (all instruments and voice) as well as group piano and guitar classes, art lessons, chess, Kindermusik program for toddlers and preschoolers, camps, parties and more.
The lessons usually take place once a week and are either 30 or 45minutes in length. 30min is recommended for students ages 5-8; 45min is for kids age 9 and up.
We offer lessons 7 days a week between 2-9 on weekdays and 9-5 on weekends.
Morning and early afternoon slots are available for adults and homeschoolers.
The best time to start lessons will be different for each child, but most of them are ready between the ages of 5 to 8 years old.
We certainly do! Our teachers are experienced in working with students of all ages.
All Atlanta Piano Fortissimo teachers are exceptionally talented musicians and artists who are passionate about teaching. They hold music/art related degrees and/or have years of teaching experience. We personally interview all candidates through an audition and a teaching demonstration. Also, all our teachers pass a strict background check prior to being hired with the company.
Yes, regardless to whether the lessons take place in your home or our studio a student needs to have an instrument for home practice. Please, contact us if you need a recommendation on what instrument to get.
A student is responsible for getting his own books, but the teacher will always advise what books and materials should be purchased.

Scheduling & Makeups
While that sounds like a good idea, our experience has proven that semi-private lessons are not as effective as one-on-one instruction even when both children are the same age. All students are different and progress at their own pace. To ensure each student receives individual attention and follows his/her individually tailored program, we only offer private one-on-one instruction.
Yes, of course. We have a lot of teachers who teach more than one instrument. If their availability matches your schedule and instrument choice, you can book your lessons with the same instructor; otherwise, you can always arrange for lessons with two different teachers.
We match an instructor with a student based on the following:
- Your age, goals and prior experience
- The instrument you want to learn
- Your location (for in-home lessons only)
- Your preferred lesson schedule/availability
If the instructor serves the area where you live and has availability that fits your schedule, we will be happy to match you with him/her. Please fill out the contact form to let us know more about your schedule.
No, you do not. You can terminate the lessons for any reason with only 2-week notice.
Please contact your teacher or call/email the office if you need to change your lesson day or/and time. We will do our best to accommodate your new schedule.
Please contact your teacher as soon as you know the lesson needs to be cancelled. Lesson cancellation notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance (except for the cases of emergency) in order to qualify for a make-up class. We will do our best to reschedule a missed lesson at a mutually convenient time for both the teacher and the student. A make up lesson can be scheduled anytime before the current semester ends.
There are no refunds/credits for missed classes. Instead, a make-up lesson can be scheduled.
