We are a convenient in-home lesson service, so all lessons take place in the comfort of your student’s home.
We have teachers available in most parts of Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, Roswell, Marietta, Canton, Woodstock, Kennesaw, Acworth, Cumming, Duluth, Suwanee, Lawrenceville, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Atlanta and Decatur.
We teach piano/keyboard, voice, violin and guitar lessons at this time.
The lessons usually take place once a week and are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length. A 60 minute appointment can be shared by two students in the same household.
Yes, in certain areas we have instructors who teach on weekends, so please call to inquire about availability in your area.
The best time to start lessons will be different for each child, but most of them are ready between the ages of 5 to 8 years old.
We certainly do! Our teachers are experienced in working with students of all ages.
All Atlanta Piano Fortissimo teachers are exceptionally talented musicians who are passionate about music and teaching. Most teachers have music degrees and experience teaching prior to joining our company. We personally interview all candidates through an audition and a teaching demonstration. Also, all our teachers pass a strict background check prior to being hired with the company.
No, a beginner student can start out his/her lessons on a keyboard and upgrade to a piano at a later time. Your teacher will be sure to let you know when it’s time to do so.
A student is responsible for getting his own books, but the teacher will always advise what books and materials should be purchased.
While that sounds like a good idea, our experience has proven that semi-private lessons are not as effective as one-on-one instruction even when both children are the same age. All students are different and progress at their own pace. To insure each student receives individual attention and follows his/her individually tailored program, we only offer private one-on-one instruction.
Yes, of course. We have a lot of teachers who teach more than one instrument. If their availability matches your schedule and instrument choice, you can book your lessons with the same instructor; otherwise, you can always arrange for lessons with two different teachers.
We match an instructor with a student based on the following:
- Your age, goals and prior experience
- The instrument you want to learn
- Your location
- Your preferred lesson schedule/availability
My friend’s child is taking lessons with one of your teachers, and she frequently recommends that instructor. Can my child have lessons scheduled with the same teacher?
If the instructor serves the area where you live and has availability that fits your schedule, we will be happy to match you with him/her. Please fill out the contact form to let us know more about your schedule.
Scheduling & Makeups
Please contact your teacher or call/email the office if you need to change your lesson day or/and time. We will do our best to accommodate your new schedule.
Please contact your teacher as soon as you know the lesson needs to be cancelled. Lesson cancellation notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance (except for the cases of emergency) in order to qualify for a make-up class. We will do our best to reschedule a missed lesson at a mutually convenient time for both the teacher and the student. A make up lesson can be scheduled anytime before the current semester ends.
There are no refunds/credits for missed classes. Instead, a make-up lesson can be scheduled.
The price depends on the lesson length. Please contact us for more details.
We bill through PayPal on the 25th of the previous month, and tuition is due on the 5th of the next month (e.g. December bill is sent on November 25 and due on December 5).
No, our teachers are not responsible for collecting payments. The tuition must be remitted via PayPal.
No, our tuition is a flat rate monthly fee that remains the same regardless of the number of lessons in a given month. The tuition is based on a 48-week lesson calendar and already takes into account the four weeks when the lessons are not offered:
- 1 week of Thanksgiving holiday
- 2 weeks of winter break
- 1 week of spring break
Yes, we pro-rate summer lessons (June – July only), so just let your teacher know how many classes you plan on taking during the summer semester.
Yes, all students will have a chance to play in our formal recitals at least twice a year (in winter and spring).
No, although we encourage all students regardless of their age or level to participate. But it is not a requirement.
