Private one-on-one lessons are available online now. A virus will not keep us quiet! Our current students continue their lesson routines and make a huge progress daily by taking virtual lessons.
If you are a new student who always wanted to try out music lessons, NOW is the best time! The lessons take place at convenient times for YOU. All you need to have is an instrument, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone with a stable internet connection and video camera.
We teach online piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, brass and woodwind instruments.
Once we resume teaching in-person, the same instructor will gladly continue with lessons in the comfort of your home or our Cumming studio location—your choice!
Tips on how to get started with online lessons:
- Setting Up Your Space
- The camera should be set up to give a full view of the student and their instrument so the teacher can see their full range of motion while playing. Try out different angles to see what works best for you.
- The lesson space should be well-lit and free of all other distractions (pets, siblings, etc).
- Choosing a Platform
- Our teachers are well-acquainted with Zoom, Google Hangouts, Skype, Facetime and other commonly used platforms for online lessons. We recommend discussing with your teacher which platform is best suited for your needs.
- Preparing Materials
- All lesson books and materials should be within reach, as well as a writing utensil. You’ll need a phone, tablet or computer with video capabilities, as well as an internet connection
