We are thrilled to introduce you Abhay Prashanth, our December Student of the Month.
Abhay plays guitar and was nominated by his instructor, Mr. Alexander Edrington. Here is what Mr. Alex would like to share about Abhay:
”When one of your students can perform Blackbird in its entirely then you know you have a natural. When the same student goes on to win the talent show for an original song than you have a special student that is bound for big things. I have been teaching Abhay Prashanth for roughly a year now and his progression as a musician/guitarist has been wonderful. He is a student that knows with practice and hard work come solid results. It has been a great time working with Abhay and I am excited to see how his musicianship progresses. In writing this article about Abhay I asked him a few questions about his guitar lessons to get a better perspective from his point of view:
Q: What do you like most about the lessons?
Abhay: I look forward to having a fun way of learning the guitar. Mr. Alex encourages mew to learn the most difficult chords in a fun way.
Q: What is your favorite/most challenging composition to play?
Abhay: My favorite is playing “Carol of the Bells.” I enjoy the precise timing of the notes that makes song fun to play.
Q: What are your goals in music?
Abhay: My goal is to get better day by day and to get better than Mr. Alex and learn newer compositions.
Who knows? Maybe one day Abhay will be the Teacher and I will be the student. If he keeps at this pace the possibilities are endless..”
Congratulations, Abhay! Your performance of “Carol of the Bells” at recent Holiday Concert was perfect!
